Card Production Company
Work for a leading payment card production company that is innovative and customer-centric. You will lead the development of new products as well as the maintenance and enhancement of current products. This is your opportunity to define product strategy as you complete market assessments and positioning; build business cases, product roadmaps, capability assessments, and competitive landscape reviews; and analyze build, buy, and partner considerations. Both contact and contactless chip products will be a part of your product group. In this job, you will partner with the rest of the Leadership Team to meet revenue, profitability, and growth targets for your business unit that includes secure payment cards, transit cards, payment objects, wearables, and other forms of RFID cards; as well as establish a market leadership position in dual interface and metal card production and fulfillment services.
With 4 Direct reports you will report one step down from the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate with Management and Peers to craft a strategic plan related to card manufacturing and related services for the payments industry
- Support attainment of short-and long-term financial and operational goals with a primary responsibility to increase company profitability and ensure superior customer satisfaction
- Develop, report, and hold the Team accountable for achieving new product release metrics including timely release of products per the schedule, attainment of new product revenue and margin goals, and other associated metrics
- Develop strategic partnerships with key customers and suppliers across the payments industry
- Manage all financial budgeting, reporting, and cost reduction targets
- Assess the IT capabilities and partner with the Finance and IT organizations to ensure proper controls and alignment are in place for manufacturing
- Maintain an annualized calendar to assure departmental coordination and prevent project overload
- Attend trade shows and take speakership responsibilities
- Provide support to Sales in contract negotiations and customer site visits
- Provide broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems including Strategic Development and Planning, P&L Management, Budgeting, Business Analysis, Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources, and Marketing
- Provide exceptional capacity to manage and lead people; be a team builder with your experience in scaling up organizations and your ability to connect with staff both on an individual level and in large groups
- Enforce accountability, develop and empower topnotch leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the Team so as to put people in a position to succeed
- Remain highly motivated and able to influence and inspire others
- Determine annual capital expenditure requirements with the input of Senior Management and approve ongoing capital expenditures attending to timing requirements for appropriate cash flow
- Convene problem solving and process flow reviews to resolve on-going issues and improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Work with other Business Unit Leaders to drive a culture of success by determining and implementing best practices
Ideal Background:
- 10+ years Product Management and Product Development experience within the card manufacturing or payments industry
- Success across the payments markets in delivering products that have created long-last revenue streams
- Experience managing the entire end-end product life cycle for payments products and services
- Experience in and accountability for managing multiple, complex projects
- Experience in leading and managing dedicated and virtual team members
- Knowledge of dual interface and metal card manufacturing
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
- Ability to travel if necessary
- Strategic thinker who anticipates future consequences and trends to incorporate them into the organizational plan
- Adaptable to changing business requirements and able to modify production capabilities where required
- BA/BS; MBA preferred
