This is a rare, ground floor opportunity to join a well-established, award-winning financial institution in its emerging Payments, BaaS & Fintech Sponsorship business. You will play a pivotal role as you direct the successful onboarding of landmark fintech partnerships to launch, grow, and support a variety of innovative card & payments products & programs, for an organization that puts compliance first. Join a team with strong, experienced leadership from payments industry veterans where you will get significant facetime with your Customers/Partners and work closely with key departments within the bank, including Compliance and BSA/AML, as you lead and execute implementation plans & timelines. If you are self-directed with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to build trust quickly and lead a team, this could be an exciting opportunity for you. If you have Operations experience in financial services, payments or fintech, preferably related to implementation, project management, and/or program management, and you enjoy being the point person for communication with internal and external customers, this could be a great place for you to utilize your skills to make a significant impact, where you will enjoy plenty of room for growth and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the team lead during the implementation of new programs
  • Act as the primary liaison with assigned partners and processors regarding the program set-up, as well as enhancements after launch
  • Respond to issues and concerns and resolve problems that may occur during the implementation, in addition to the day-to-day maintenance of the programs
  • Seek win-win solutions with partners and handle issues in a timely manner providing a high level of customer service
  • Coordinate communications with assigned external and internal individuals to ensure a successful program launch is achieved
  • Update partners and processors on the status of the program launch and the solutions to address issues arising during the program transition
  • Manage and coordinate on-going meetings and calls to ensure a high-level of open communication between all involved in the pre-launch, launch, and post-launch periods
  • Prepare and distribute status and activity reports and schedules as needed
  • Document the parameters and functional elements of new programs and enhancements
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Compliance departments to ensure programs are compliant with all card network, and State and Federal regulations, and measures in order to minimize the Bank’s exposure to fraudulent activity
  • Provide direction to new partners regarding the Bank’s guidelines and policies
  • Ensure program accuracy and compliance with all appropriate governing entity rules and regulations
  • Manage project workflow and activities within established timelines and deadlines
  • Assist in the ongoing development of existing programs to promote growth of the portfolio and increase revenue

Ideal Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • One year of project management experience
  • Experience in a related area of banking or payments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of the business area that is being supported
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and employee groups
