In this role, reporting to the Managing Director of the Commercial Payments Strategy practice, you will help leading financial services companies develop their business strategies, identify and implement opportunities to improve business operations, adapt to changing market conditions, and research emerging macro trends impacting the industry. You will utilize your analytical skillset to deliver client engagements as you gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations, and manage client interactions. Working in teams of 3-5 colleagues, you will perform market research, create financial analyses, develop client deliverables, and present to clients. You will manage multiple client engagements at once with time sensitive deadlines, so time management and organizational skills are essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and execution of strategy engagements, particularly those involving complex commercial payments systems and products for financial services clients.
- Serve as the primary project lead, directing team efforts in areas such as strategy development, detailed market assessments, and research specific to commercial payments and treasury management.
- Spearhead product development initiatives, transformations, and launch strategies that capitalize on your deep knowledge of payment processing technologies and systems.
- Provide expert-level financial and non-financial analyses related to payment processes, benchmarking product performance, and evaluating operational efficiency within the payments space.
- Conduct thorough partnership assessments, focusing on potential collaborations with fintech and payment processors that could advance our clients’ strategic positioning.
- Offer mentorship and oversight to analysts, ensuring the quality of work meets the high standards expected in strategic consulting engagements.
- Communicate consistently with internal leadership, offering clear and informative status reports on client projects and internal initiatives.
- Contribute to the firm’s reputation as a thought leader in commercial payments by producing insightful articles, engaging in public speaking engagements, and driving other knowledge dissemination initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive support to Managing Director in business development efforts, including proposal writing, client prospecting, and Statement of Work creation.

- Aptitude for prioritizing effectively, with the foresight to delegate appropriately and ensure the team functions efficiently under high-pressure conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on creating high-quality presentations and complex financial models relevant to payment strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in financial services, banking, and/or payments
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to travel (20-40%)
