Ali Rae specializes in the recruitment and placement of Compliance, Risk, Fraud, and Business and Web Analytics professionals, as well as the research and sourcing of candidates in other functions, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and General Management, for executive level searches in the Cards & Payments Industry. Prior to joining R&P Group, Ali worked as a Sales Associate and Counter Manager for Dillard’s, a national department store, and was a top-producing document management and process improvement Intern for SDN Communications, a regional telecommunications provider.
Ali enjoys researching, reading, writing, and the thrill of the hunt. She keeps tabs on industry news and publications and assists the Team with early-stage search responsibilities. She builds contact lists, reaches out to new talent, writes job descriptions, and manages the website and social media presence for R&P Group. What Ali enjoys most about recruiting in the Payments Industry is that it is a continual learning process. Every call is a step in the right direction, and every day brings the opportunity to connect with a variety of individuals who have a different background and a different story to tell. Even if the particular job is not right for a certain person, it is the established connection and interaction that is interesting, enlightening, and humbling. The feeling that comes from successfully matching a client company with the perfect candidates is unparalleled. She loves hearing the excitement in people's voices when everything comes together and both the client and the candidate know that they're on the horizon of something great -- their next great career success.
Ali holds a BA in Communication from the University of Northern Iowa, where she was selected to be a member of the University Honors program and graduated magna cum laude with the successful completion of an undergraduate research project and thesis which involved writing, directing and performing in an original one-woman show. A performance studies and speech enthusiast, Ali was deeply involved in co-curricular programs and won numerous scholarships and awards for her writing and performance work through the UNI Speech Team, Interpreters Theater, and SAVE Forum Actors. On a personal note, Ali enjoys traveling and live music, volunteering as a foster mom for the Sioux Empire Pit Bull Rescue, and participating in community theater productions.
