Program Manager
As one of the first 10 US-based hires, this is your chance to join the Card Issuing arm of an established European Fintech organization and help them scale/double their business here in the US. You will report to the Head of North America and enjoy an equity position as you lead sales efforts in the B2B Prepaid space. Ideally you will be doing some combination of direct and partner channel sales, spanning a variety of use cases (e.g. to help insurance companies use cards to pay claims, or pharmaceutical companies find an efficient way to pay clinical trial participants). While the organization is small and growing, it is not fragile, with rock solid VC funding and the support of the larger organization, offering you the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help to grow the company’s revenues and pave the way for an IPO on the horizon.

As the Head of Sales, you will identify and execute deals with new clients and partners, set the sales strategy for the US, and manage sales team members. The organization seeks an experienced, motivated, bright, high-energy person to lead the sales team and contribute to growth in the US Market. Using your initiative, leadership and a consultative sales approach, you will engage with new prospects directly and manage a team to identify and close new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the payments and prepaid debit card industry 
  • Apply knowledge of prepaid card scheme solutions to business or industry payment needs to identify sales opportunities
  • Develop the business development strategy for US
  • Build and maintain a reliable sales pipeline within the CRM system
  • Lead the US Business Development team
  • Actively represent the brand within industry forums, and be recognized as an authority on card programs, BIN sponsorship and payment innovations
  • Develop prospective clients through direct sales, attending exhibitions, networking events and leveraging personal network
  • Achieve personal results and manage team performance against targets
  • Oversight of proposals and partnership deals  
  • Contribute as appropriate to company initiatives and assignments for lead generation
  • Coordinate sales activities in support of the company’s marketing campaigns
Ideal Background:
  • Track record creating and executing a sales plan
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence
  • Comfortable representing the company on all deal types and demands
  • Experience in financial services and/or Fintech
  • Well organized with excellent planning skills, able to work under pressure, attention to detail
  • Experience managing sales function with CRM platform
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • Self-motivation and ambition
  • The skills to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Payments experience in multiple Industry domains (e.g. Life Sciences, Tourism, Insurance)
  • Bachelor’s degree
