Your background in finance & accounting experience within banking or payments could make this an exciting next step for you. This is your chance to join the payments division of a financial institution that provides BIN sponsorship for innovative fintech partners and brings payments programs to life. In this role, you will be responsible for completing DDA account reconciliations, researching the root cause of outstanding items, and determining the best reconciliation approach for new programs. If you have worked in accounting and reconciliation in a banking or payments environment, and you are open to exploring opportunities for growth, this could be a great potential fit!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary reconciler for cardholder DDA accounts 
  • Monitor selected program funding and adjustment accounts to review source of funding and ensure they are sufficiently funded 
  • Research and resolve transactions; create outstanding items in cardholder reconciliations 
  • Reconcile partner respondent suspense GL accounts 
  • Serve as a back-up to the other members of the reconciliation team 
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software solutions 
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures 
  • Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner 
  • Attend all mandatory in-services, training and staff meetings 
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and organization information 
  • Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work with new structures, processes, requirements or cultures 
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, and Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations.  
Ideal Background:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field 
  • One to three years of related accounting experience in a financial institution.  An understanding of electronic and card payment processes preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strong knowledge of the business area that is being supported 
  • Self-directed and motivated 
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to calculate figures as it relates to accounting processes 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel aptitude.
