This is a unique opportunity to introduce a new issuing channel for a card network. Develop and execute a Travel Agency outreach and sales strategy and deliver results as you help your clients in the travel management space monetize travel booking transactions in a way that has never before been possible. You will serve as the lead point of contact for assigned strategic corporate accounts and will maintain C-suite and/or executive-level relationships with travel agencies, corporate customers, and FinTech partners. If you are a sales professional with experience partnering with, or working for, travel management companies and online travel agencies, this could be an excellent fit for you.

Responsibilities
  • Foster strong relationships with global and regional travel management companies (TMCs) and online travel agencies (OTAs). 
  • Launch Travel Agency Issuer programs in assigned markets. 
  • Work with TMCs and OTAs to generate leads for Issuers. Assist in the sales process for new corporate accounts. Diligently manage and track leads via CRM tool. 
  • Present compelling business cases to TMCs and OTAs that demonstrate the value of recommending the company’s solutions to corporate travel buyers. 
  • Design, develop, and deploy travel agency incentive programs that meet or exceed KPI targets and overall return on capital. 
  • Evaluate product competitiveness in key markets and work with TMCs to design solutions that enhance the solution’s reporting and functionality. 
  • Identify prospects and aggressively pursue opportunities to promote the company’s technology and payment solutions to TMCs and OTAs. 
  • Lead sales efforts for the company’s growing suite of products and solutions designed for travel management companies and corporations. 
  • Liaise with industry expense management and FinTech partners to ensure proper solution alignment and integration with products marketed by TMCs. 
  • Represent the Company and its Issuers at industry events. 
  • Willing and able to travel frequently (domestic and international). Trips can be overnight, week-long, with the possibility of weekend travel on occasion. 
  • Able to work in a home-based environment with minimal supervision.

Ideal Background
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, proposal development, solution design, and proficiency in technical solution demonstrations. 
  • Proven analytical ability. Must be able to translate hard numerical data into actionable insight. 
  • Previous experience with major TMC or OTA is required. 
  • Travel payments experience or corporate travel consulting experience. 
  • Fluency (written and verbal) in English. Additional language skills a plus. 
  • Successful track record of moving projects through upper levels of management within complex and highly-matrixed organizations. 
  • Successful track-record of project management and implementation. 
  • Must thrive in a consultative, team-based sales environment and able to work cross-departmentally. 
  • Excellent public speaking and written communication skills. 
  • Must reside in the continental US, in or near a major metropolitan area. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related discipline or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience. 
  • MBA is strongly preferred.
