Program Manager
In this role, you will cultivate strategic partnerships with entities with large customer bases to issue card products through direct response marketing channels. Offer partners the opportunity to expand and engage their customer base by providing access to alternative financial services via open-loop prepaid cards with integrated rewards and loyalty programs. Both parties will benefit from revenue sharing as they harness the combined forces and broad reach of existing channels of direct response marketing via website, email, social media, direct mail, etc. If you are independent operator with experience in co-branding, digital marketing, affinity or affiliate marketing, and you have connections with retail brands and/or digital marketing agencies, and knowledge of millennial and un/underbanked consumers, the sky is the limit for you in this entrepreneurial division of an established, stable, steadily growing company full of possibilities.

Overview:
As the Director of Partnerships in the Direct Channel, you will own a pipeline of partner prospects, execute on a sales strategy and take the lead in securing new partnerships that grow and diversify the company’s lines of business. You should have working knowledge of the payments industry, digital ecosystems and multi-channel customer acquisition marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop powerful value propositions and sales pitches that leverage existing products and services, deliver immediate value and have long-term growth potential
  • Evaluate lead generation and sales opportunities, call on prospects and secure meetings with key decision makers
  • Run financial scenarios and present recommendations to executive team
  • Draft business terms and negotiate agreements that deliver value to partners
  • Have working knowledge of direct to consumer verticals within the payments industry, specifically targeting self-banked consumers
  • Maintain a deep understanding of financial services from a technology perspective, digital payments and the prepaid industry
  • Create value by establishing strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, executive team and industry groups
  • Be curious, self-motivated, outgoing and engaging with a self-directed entrepreneurial spirit
  • Have a proven history of being highly organized and detail oriented
  • Work with minimal supervision, ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Motivate other team members and lead by example
Ideal Background:
  • 6-10+ years demonstrated successful sales record as proven by reports and references in high tech, software, financial, marketing or information services industry
  • Experience in Digital Marketing (SEO, Online Advertising, Web Analytics, Mobile Ads, Email Marketing)
  • Experience related to: Prepaid, Fintech, Affinity Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and/or Co-branding
  • Knowledge of: P2P Payments, Micro Loans, Micro Investing, Bill Pay, Cross Border Money Transfer, Remittances, Payday Loans, Direct Deposit, Check Cashing, Alternative Financial Services, Mobile Banking, and/or Mobile Payments (ie ApplePay, GooglePay, Samsung Pay)
  • Rolodex or Business Contacts consisting of: Digital Agencies, Retail Brands, Mobile Entities, Un/Underbanked Consumers, Millennials, and/or Alternative Financial Services
  • Bachelor’s Degree from top university, preferably in business; MBA highly desirable
  • Experience working in large corporate environments
  • Ability to define and contract complex deals
  • Ability to clearly determine value proposition and program viability, from financial operational, and technical perspectives
  • Ability to build and evaluate complex financial models
  • Experience negotiating large contracts
  • Experience in accelerating cycles to reduce evaluation and closing of partnerships
  • High-energy, independent operator requiring low oversight
  • A combination of market assessment skills combined with solid “sales street smarts”
  • A leader with strong organizational, conceptual, and logical problem-solving capabilities
  • Credible and knowledgeable resource within the industry
  • Ablity to influence decisions and close using a proactive consultative approach
  • Exceptional interpersonal verbal skills, dynamic public speaking and superior presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative team approach
  • Board or senior management presentation experience
  • Enjoys travel and is able to spend ~30-40% of time on the road
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
