As Digital Revenue and Partnership Leader you will develop and scale external marketing relationships as well as build out and grow the company’s owned affiliate business model. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across the company and with external agency partners, to identify and streamline new revenue models and leverage existing owned products and data. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to cultivate external partnerships with, including but not limited to, retailers, consumer brands, financial institutions, and last-mile delivery companies. As a prioritized focus area for the business, this newly created position will help define and enhance this client’s market strategy approach through new and innovative models that evolve the marketing partner ecosystem. 
This visible role requires personal credibility and the ability to build trust quickly. Internal product teams will look to you to clearly articulate partnership guidelines and requirements, and to collaborate in ideating innovative solutions to enhance product roadmaps. Of particular importance are personal values of honesty, persistence, and self-responsibility. The successful candidate will bring a track record of making aggressive improvements and acting with urgency.
  • Lead commercial partnerships Sales from prospecting through, execution, negotiation, and tracking
  • Identify new opportunities of categories and partnerships
  • Monitor the marketplace in search of best-in-class partners
  • Grow and maintain holistic revenue improvement through partnership placement and performance optimization
  • Provide ongoing awareness of emerging opportunities and market developments and trends
  • Present ideas, plans, and result to and engage with executive leadership teams both internal and external
  • Continue success as you manage the external agency relationship
  • Develop new revenue generating marketing models and opportunities 
  • Evaluate and negotiate contract and partner agreements
  • Run campaign management including, setup, performance tracking, optimization, and reporting 
  • Establishing partner invoice model and process
  • Sell by leading web-based conversations based on leads and cold-calls 
Ideal Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or similar field.  MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in affiliate and/or partner marketing, ideally within matrixed organizations
  • Expert knowledge of affiliate marketing networks 
  • Proven success record with partner negotiation, strategic business development, and online media campaigns
  • Proven track record of strategic business development success
  • Deep expertise in ad serving technology and campaign management processes
  • Management-level experience with affiliate program models including, cost analysis, revenue generation, incentive opportunities, etc.
  • Ability to rapidly scale active partnerships via prospecting, researching, and meeting pipeline goals; collaboration with marketing team(s) to develop online and grass-roots approaches
  • Experience and comfort in working with external agency partners
  • Strong, leverageable professional network available to accelerate business development with strategic leadership within affiliate marketing and partner channels
  • A "think outside the box" mindset with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
